Thanks to this function, it is now possible to scan tyres with AI. The advantage of this is that during a tyre check you don't have to enter all the data yourself. By taking one picture, the tyre sizes are automatically entered in Claire. In this article, we explain how this works.

How it works
When you get to the tyre question during a checklist, a new button is available.
Once you click on it, the camera opens. Hold the tablet vertically (portrait mode) when taking the picture. Also make sure the band is in full view and then take the picture.
The AI scans the picture and compares it with the database. Based on the quality of the picture, the AI gives the following answers:
Successful picture
Once successful, you will be asked to select the correct tyre reference and confirm the data.
The fields in the tyre question are then filled in. You still have to fill in the profiles yourself.
In addition, there is no need to take a picture for each tyre separately. The tyre information is filled in automatically with each question. If not, click on the copy icon.
Failed picture
The tyre needs to be photographed form the side profile and be completely in frame. The scan will fail if these requirements are not met:
In the above situations, you get the following error message:
In that case, click cancel and take a new picture. Make sure you have the tyre fully in focus and that you take the picture straight from the side.
Unknown tyre
It is also possible that the picture was taken correctly, but the tyre is not known in the database.
In that case, you have to enter the tyre reference manually.
Please note: After three failed attempt, you will be asked to fill in the tyre reference manually, because TyreMotion charges per picture.
Depending on the state of the tyre and the taken picture, will between 70-80% of scans succeed.
