Dropping off the key in the Keylocker

Claire's Keylocker allows customers to hand over their keys easily and quickly. This article explains how this process works. The Keylocker has 16 compartments and two screens.

Steps

Once the customer has selected their reason, the next screen will show the steps they need to follow.

 

 

Step 1 - Authentication

Two-factor authentication

If two-factor authentication for "key drop off" is enabled for the Keylocker, authentication requires a PIN. A PIN can be obtained in one of the following ways:

  • In the confirmation pop-up that appears after validating the Online Check-in.
  • In the confirmation email of the Online Check-in.
  • In an email sent to the driver by selecting the registration number or phone number on the screen shown below.

 

 

If two-factor authentication for "key drop off" is disabled for the Keylocker, step 1 is to enter the registration number or the driver's mobile phone number, whether private or business.

 

 

Info

The QR code option is not available to the customer, only to the receptionist or mechanic.

Obtaining a pin via registration number

This option allows customers to obtain a PIN by entering their registration number.

 

 

If the entered registration number matches the registration number associated with a work order with today's appointment date and the driver has a private or business email address, the following screen will appear:

 

 

Once the customer clicks on Send, an email containing a PIN is automatically sent to that email address.

Obtaining a pin via phone number

This option allows customers to obtain a PIN by entering their phone number.

 

 

If the entered phone number matches the mobile number associated with a work order for today's appointment date and the driver has a private or business email address, the following screen will appear:

 

Once the customer clicks on Send, an email containing a PIN is automatically sent to that email address.

If SMS is enabled for your dealer, the following screen will appear after the customer clicks on Send:

 

 

Once you have a PIN, click PIN Code to enter it. The following screen will appear:

 

 

Step 2 - Check and Validate Contact information

If two-factor authentication for "key drop off" is enabled for the Keylocker, the driver's information is displayed. An (additional) phone number can be added.

If two-factor authentication to drop the key is disabled, step 2 is skipped.

Step 3 - Validate your appointment

The customer can now validate the appointment information and add a remark if necessary.

 

 

To continue, set the work you agree with to green, enter your name and tick the mandatory agreements.

 

Step 4 - Drop your key inside the box

The customer can now leave their key in the allocated box.

 

 

Click on Confirm to complete the process.
