Logging in using QR code

Logging in using QR code

Purpose

Claire allows mechanics to log in to our web application using a QR code feature on their tablet.

Steps

Step 1

Open the workorder on tablet.

Step 2

Select the green button (QR code scanner) indicated in the image below.

Step 3

On the laptop used for diagnostic, open our web application  https://claireit.com/#!/login and click Login With QR Code.

Then you should see the QR code as displayed below:

Step 4

You have now 1 minute to scan the code using the tablet.

The code expires after 60 seconds but then a new code can be generated.

If the code expires before you had the chance to scan the QR code, just click Generate Another Code.

Step 5

On the web application, you should be forwarded to the workorder that you have opened on tablet. Simply attach the diagnostic report to it using the steps indicated in the article linked here.

Session duration for mechanic is 15 minutes, within which he can upload content to web dashboard. After that, mechanic will be logged out from Claire on his laptop.

Internet Explorer

Unfortunately, Claire does not support Internet Explorers for the QR Code login feature. On the diagnostic laptop, we recommend that you open Claire login page using Chrome. If it is not possible,  you must clear the cache between each login. Here are the steps to do it:

  1. Press the [Ctrl], [Shift] and [Del] Key together. A Popup-Window opens. "Delete browser history".
  2. Remove all checks except the selection "Temporary Internet files and website files".
  3. Click on the Button "Delete" to empty the browser cache. In comparison to other browsers there is no option to select the time period. You'll delete all cache data.
  4. Reload the page.
